THE
READING ROOM The Reading Room is the school's proprietarial reading program that aims to develop awareness and appreciation for reading among children between ages 2.0 to 6.0. The program covers four areas of literacy - reading, listening, speaking, and writing. It uses age-appropriate methods and materials that will engage each child and make reading fun.
MATH PROGRAM
"Teaching math using nursery rhymes !" Nursery rhymes are a natural motivator for teaching math skills and concepts to young children. Rhythmic, playful and filled with a myriad of math connections, the program uses nursery rhymes among others as the basis for teaching children key math skills or concepts. Fun-filled activities, and manipulatives are used by the program to help children develop counting, adding and subtracting, patterning, classifying and many more math skills.
What is Kindermusik? … Simply put, Kindermusik is an international music and movement program. The kindermusik program offers children musical learning that involves every aspect of your child’s growth and development: language, motor skills, social skills, cognitive development, emotional growth, and musicality. Throughout the experience, a trusted and trained educator will guide your child through every musical and developmental milestone. “Take-home” books, instruments and CDs from class let you take learning with you wherever you go. All while strengthening the emotional bond between you and your child.
Musical Variety and Singing. Activities include a mixture of musical genres and styles and provide a setting for your child to explore his many voices and to use a “singing voice.” Singing helps with memory and recall, physical development, creativity and socialization. Storytelling and Literacy. Each class is built on the development of a story, so you’ll hear preschoolers search for the word to say what they mean and try to keep up with their busy minds, emerging wants, needs, likes, and dislikes.
LANGUAGE PROGRAMS
Children develop their vocabulary through Mandarin activities - visual aids, songs, storytelling, music, drawing, arts and crafts and counting. Small classes ensure maximum attention to every child
