We believe that children are active learners and unique individuals. “They learn in a developmental sequence, progressing at a pace appropriate for their age” – National Association for the Education of Young Children. With this learning philosophy in mind, Lincolnshire Internationale Preschool built its program anchored on three curricular thrust.

1. Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) approach to learning � It is an approach to learning used by most schools in the U.S. and Britain. A DAP curriculum focuses on the child as a developing human being and life long learner. It recognizes the child as an active participant in the learning process; a participant who constructs meaning and knowledge through interaction with others and the environment

With this approach, learning is integrated under a common theme allowing greater interest in learning from children and flexibility for teachers to be more responsive to the child's needs.

2. Four Prong Approach to Reading — Is an approach that uses children’s literature as a springboard in developing reading skills among children. Pioneered & developed by the UP College of Education, the program aims to develop among children the genuine love for reading, development of their comprehension and critical thinking skills, oral language development and the correct use of grammatical structures.

Studies conducted by the Department of Education showed that children who were taught using this approach manifest significant gains in the areas of listening ability, visual discrimination skills, letter recognition and ability to read words and phrases

3. Elementary Preparatory- Most big schools in the Philippines still follow the traditional format of education, where lessons are teacher directed and learning may only be achieved in a structured activity. To help children adjust to this environment, the school uses worksheets, mock interviews and examinations to prepare children to the challenges of the big schools
